Clint Stinchcomb is the President and CEO of CuriosityStream, heading up all strategy and operations for one of the world’s leading independent factual entertainment companies. CuriosityStream’s thousands of documentary features and series explore the full category of the non-fiction genre including science, nature, history, technology, society, lifestyle and more.

Stinchcomb has led CuriosityStream through 2 consecutive years of record growth, starting in 2018 as he joined Founder and Chairman John Hendricks to take the company through its first ever capital funding round, and ending that year surpassing 1 million paid subscribers. In 2019, CuriosityStream experienced 10x growth, hitting a milestone 10.5 million paid subscribers around the world.  The company surpassed 13 million paying subscribers in January 2020.

Stinchcomb joined CuriosityStream in 2017 as Chief Distribution Officer.  In that role, he was responsible for the strategic oversight and distribution of CuriosityStream across all global platforms, executing prominent deals with MVPDs, Smart TV manufacturers and streaming media service providers.

Stinchcomb is an entrepreneurial executive with over 25 years of traditional and digital media experience. Leveraging a broad range of global roles in television and digital programming, production, content development, strategic planning, consumer marketing, operations, advertising sales, network distribution, and communications, he has played a critical role in the launches and successful growth of several television networks, content franchises and enthusiast brands.

Before CuriosityStream, as the CEO and co-founder of Poker Central, Stinchcomb created and built the world’s first 24/7 global, multi-platform, multimedia network dedicated to “all things poker.” Prior to Poker Central, he led all film distribution and media advisory initiatives as the Managing Director of Worldwide Media Group. Under Stinchcomb’s leadership, WMG became the leading distributor of advocacy films. Simultaneously WMG provided advisory services to the world’s largest private equity companies, advocacy organizations, TV network groups and digital media distributors.

Stinchcomb was previously EVP and GM of Discovery Communications’ Emerging Television Networks, with responsibility for Discovery HD Theater, Discovery Times Channel, Military Channel, Turbo Media and Discovery Home. Prior to that as SVP of New Media Operations and HDTV, Stinchcomb was responsible for the creation, implementation and oversight of global new media businesses

Stinchcomb holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Dartmouth College.
