Andreas is General Manager of Waltenspiel Management Consulting and is advising PayTV/Telco operators such as Vodafone Group, NOS Portugal, HD Plus Germany on IP licensing, complex contract negotiations, market intelligence and partnership strategy.
He also helps technology vendors to sell value instead of features through go-to-market strategies, sales training and business development services. He acts as a speaker and moderator as well.
Andreas has been working with leading European Telco/Pay TV operators since 2001 and has been managing 150+ global technology partners in his role as General Manager Licensing and Partnerships at Nagra for over a decade. He has been heading STB Procurement and strategy at Premiere Fernsehen (now Sky Germany) and was Director Business Development EMEA at Samsung’s STB and Gateway division. Subsequently he features his motto “Connecting the Dots – Connecting people” on the back of his business card and he’ll tell you: ”If you want to find the cheapest vendor – do a reverse auction. But if you want to find outstanding quality companies with people you can trust – then we should talk”.
Andreas holds a diploma in Business Administration with specialization in Managing Innovation from Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich as well as a diploma in Physics from Technical University of Munich.
He has also been focusing on Technology Strategy as a visiting fellow at MIT Sloan School of Management and Harvard Business School.
