Jean-Marc Racine has 18 years’ experience in the media technology market and started his career designing the world’s first real-time MPEG-2 encoder that would lead the emergence of today’s digital television.
Jean-Marc held several executive positions and played a lead role in the expansion of CANAL+ Technologies as a world leader, and remained a member of the executive team until its acquisition.
Since joining Farncombe in 2007, Jean-Marc has worked on multiple projects, including technical due diligence, technical strategies, and recently, advising various industry consortiums and broadcasters on the definition and implementation of TV everywhere platforms. Jean-Marc is currently leading farncombe’s involvement in the ongoing definition of TNT 2.0, the next-generation connected TV standard developed by the French HD FORUM.
