Barry Flynn is a Principal Consultant at Farncombe Technology. A journalist by training, Barry first worked in a variety of television production, direction and systems operation roles at TV companies such as ITN, Diverse Production and Granada Television, before becoming an analyst and consultant specialising in digital TV.
Between 1995 and 2000 Barry was a founding member of Informed Sources International, a digital TV consultancy, where he advised clients such as BBC, BT Broadcast Services, Canal+, Comcast, Discovery Networks, Disney, DMGT, Ericsson, Eutelsat, Microsoft, NetHold, NTL, Olswang, Pathé, Reuters, Solomon Bros, Thorn UK, United Business Entertainment, and Warner.
Between 2000 and joining Farncombe in February 2007, Barry worked as a consultant for a variety of high-profile media clients, both in his own right and through other consultancies.
Projects included digital media and technology trend research across TV, mobile and online sectors sponsored by BT, Microsoft MSN UK, Virgin Group and J Walter Thompson.
