Vassilis Seferidis, Director, Samsung Electronics

Vassilis Seferidis is Director of Business Development for Samsung Electronics Europe responsible for product planning and business development for the European market.

He has more than 20 years experience in the European Consumer Electronics market mainly in strategic business planning and product development & management roles. Prior to Samsung, he held senior management positions at Toshiba, Philips, British Standards Institute and British Telecom.

Vassilis has been involved with standardisation and market development of Digital TV in Europe since 1993 and supervised key product developments and market launches including the very first Digital Terrestrial TV set-top-box in the UK/Europe (OnDigital/ITV Digital) and Toshiba's first Integrated Digital TV.

Vassilis holds a BSc and MSc from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, a PhD from Essex University and an MBA from Cass Business School (City University), London.
